"You may be surprised to find out, as I did, that so much of the conventional wisdom [about pooping and peeing] is wrong," parenting coach Sarah Rosensweet said after interviewing Dr. Hodges on her Peaceful Parenting Podcast,

Sarah and Dr. Hodges discussed:

•Why so many cases of childhood constipation go undiagnosed and how to get an accurate diagnosis.

•The risks of letting bedwetting go untreated. (Not only does bedwetting disrupt a child's sleep, which can greatly affect their demeanor and school performance, but walking around with a colon full of poop can have serious health consequences into adulthood, possibly including IBS.)

•How a child can poop daily and still be constipated.

•Why early potty training can backfire.

This podcast is truly informative! It's surprising how misunderstood toileting issues are in children. Dr. Hodges's insights gave me a better understanding of what parents should be aware of. Finally, once you've demonstrated the right approach, rewarding your children by playing basketball legends can be both fun and motivating!

Dr. Steve Hodges shares such important understandings of topics many people feel uncomfortable talking about. It is refreshing to see honest conversations about children’s health. I remember catching his interview while multitasking during a hectic study week. I was grateful to have some online class help at the time, which really took the pressure off and let me stay focused.
